IOWinds Alliance 2025 Brass Young Artist Competition

(Optional for all participants) : Deadline August 17

Open to all brass students in Iowa entering grades 7 - 12 in Fall 2025. Students will compete in the following categories: 7th-8th grade, 9th-10th grade, and 11th-12th grade.

Prizes per category are:

6th/8th and 9th/10th Grade category:

1st place: $250 | 2nd: $200 | 3rd: $150 | 4th: $100 | 5th: $50

11th/12th Grade category:

1st place: $500 | 2nd: $400 | 3rd: $300 | 4th: $200 | 5th: $100

Interested students must submit registration forms for both the Brass Extravaganza and the Young Artist Competition.

Students must submit a prescreening video as a YouTube link as part of the Young Artist Competition Registration form by August 17 to be considered. Late applications are not accepted.

Finalists will be announced no later than August 24th.

The live final round will be held at West Music - Corallvile. Please see our competition guidelines for more details.
