Financial aid is available for students wishing to participate in IOWinds Alliance 2025 Woodwind Festival.

IOWinds Alliance 2025 Woodwind Young Artist Competition

(Optional for all participants) : Deadline August 24

Open to all woodwind students in Iowa entering grades 6 - 12 in Fall 2025. Students will compete in the following categories: 6th-8th grade, 9th-10th grade, and 11th-12th grade.

Prizes per category are:

6th-8th and 9th/10th Grade category:

1st place: $250 | 2nd: $200 | 3rd: $150 | 4th: $100 | 5th: $50

11th/12th Grade category:

1st place: $500 | 2nd: $400 | 3rd: $300 | 4th: $200 | 5th: $100

Interested students must submit registration forms for both the Woodwind Festival and the Young Artist Competition.

Students must submit a prescreening video as a YouTube link as part of the Young Artist Competition Registration form by August 24 to be considered. Late applications are not accepted.

Finalists will be announced no later than August 31st.

The live final round will be held at West Music - Coralville. Please see our competition guidelines for more details.
