Music Advancement Scholarships

Artistry in Action Award

A $1,000 award that will help support the purchase of an instrument.

The Instrument can be new or used

The instrument should be in the same family as that which the application video demonstrates

(i.e., a flute player should be choosing a flute instrument, not a clarinet)

Funds will be disbursed AFTER receipt of purchase is documented

Funds dispersed will not exceed the amount of the purchase price, even if the purchase cost is lower than the award total.

Eligibility

The Music Education Scholarship is available for students who are:

Iowa Residents

Currently in 9th - 12th grade (during the 2025-2026 academic school year)

Studying woodwind or brass instruments

Deadline

All application submissions are due December 1st, 2025

Notification of Award: December 15th, 2025

Disbursement of Funds: Purchases must be made by April 15th, 2026
